3. Robbie Ryan

Last updated : 01 September 2004 By Chris Barnes
Robbie Ryan was signed by Ian Atkins in the summer of 2004 to replace the out of favour Ijah Anderson. Ryan began his career at Huddersfield making only 15 apperances for them before a £10k move to Millwall. At the New Den Robbie amassed 226 league apperances and earned 12 Ireland U21 caps. The Left Back's last game for Millwall came in the 2004 FA Cup Final against Manchester United, where he was given the unenviable task of marking Cristiano Ronaldo. Despite Dennis Wise's offer of a One Year deal with a Millwall team playing in the UEFA Cup, Ryan decided to take up Ian Atkins' offer of a 3-year deal.
