Andersen, who is on loan from Reading until January, told BBC Bristol: "It is nice with that break because you get that excitement for getting out there.

"You realise how much you love playing and you can't live without it."

Rovers have twice seen their Johnstone's Paint Trophy match at home to Exeter postponed, with a League One encounter with Bournemouth called off in between.

The Denmark Under-21 international, who also spent all last season on loan at the Memorial Stadium, added: "We had that last year where we didn't have a game for a couple of weeks.

"You get back into that feeling of really looking forward to playing the game."
