Atkins told to cut squad

Ian Atkins has been told by Chairman Geoff Dunford to cut back on his playing staff.

It seems likely that Dunford has amended the budget for wages following the stuttering performances of the team in recent weeks, and automatic promotion - at least looks unrealistic.

Pedro Matias has had his contract terminated, and has linked up with Jon Beswetherick and Ryan Clarke at Kidderminster.

Meanwhile the names of Dave Savage and injured Sonny Parker have been re-circulated.

Ryan Williams has also been added to the transfer list, although the player has turned down a loan move to Forest Green.

Former Rovers player Ijah Anderson was also in the news, he has joined promotion chasing Swansea on a one-month deal.
