Carlisle 1 Bristol Rovers 0

Bristol Rovers were undone by an extra time strike from Magno Viera, after holding the Conference side for 109 minutes.

Ian Atkins chose five in midfield recalling Dave Savage in place of Jamie Forrester, but Rovers were made to pay for their negative approach.

Atkins blamed the defeat on the Rovers' coach twice breaking down on the M6 as the players travelled to the fixture, however a second miserable defeat in a week has firmly condemned Atkins' honeymoon period to the history books.
