Coles missing for Rovers

Coles returned to Rovers` starting line-up for the 1-1 home draw with Sheffield Wednesday last week after a two-game absence with an Achilles injury, but after suffering an apparent recurrence of the problem against the Owls is a major doubt.

Versatile midfielder Charlie Clough, recently recalled from a loan spell at Bath City, replaced Coles in the second half to make only his second appearance for the Pirates and his first in three years and he will be hoping to be involved again.

Midfielder Jeff Hughes (wrist) and defender James Tunnicliffe (ankle) are expected to be sidelined for the third successive match as Rovers, who are all but relegated, look to end their disappointing season on a high.

Player/manager Stuart Campbell remains unable to pick himself due to a calf injury while defender David McCracken serves the second of a three-match ban for his sending off against Bournemouth.

It is unclear whether leading scorer Will Hoskins will play. The 20-goal marksmen is widely expected to be one of numerous summer departures from the Memorial Stadium.
