Green eyeing regular action

Bristol Rovers goalkeeper Mike Green has targeted regular first-team football after playing in the Pirates 2-1 defeat to Swindon on Monday. Youngster Green was given the gloves after first-choice keeper Mikkel Andersen linked up with the Denmark Under-21s for their friendly with France and has set himself ambitions for the season. "I set myself a target of games in my head at the start of the season and I'm on my way to achieving that," he told the Evening Post. "The more games I play, the more experience I gain and it's another step in my development, which hopefully will help to eventually establish me as a first-team keeper. "I'm sure there are going to be other international games when Mikkel will be needed by Denmark, so it's up to me to keep showing the gaffer what I can do. "I'm still learning and there's still plenty for me to improve, but I feel I can establish myself at this level."
