Ijah Anderson quits Gas

Ijah Anderson has had his Bristol Rovers contract terminated by mutual consent.

The Left Back was told at the end of last season that he had no future at the Memorial Stadium, but despite being transfer listed has been unable to find a new club.

Anderson's contract was due to expire at the end of the season and it appears the former Brentford player has accepted a pay off in order to move to non-league football.

Ian Atkins gave Anderson the chop as he tried to reduce the wage budget, others told to leave include Sonny Parker, who still remains transfer listed and could also be paid to go in the near future.

Dave Savage also remains transfer listed as he seeks a move nearer his Northampton home, despite his recent recall to the Rovers team. Ryan Williams may be another under threat as Atkins looks to trim his squad further, the tiny winger has only made one sub appearance this term.

However it appears John Anderson and Atkins have now settled their differences following the Scot's recall to the first team.
