Lines forced to sit in the stands

Bristol Rovers will be without the suspended Chris Lines for their Johnstone's Paint Trophy southern section second-round home clash with Aldershot. Midfielder Lines picked up his fifth booking of the season in Saturday's 1-0 win at Huddersfield and will serve his one-match ban by sitting out against the Shots. With Lines unavailable Wayne Brown and Dominic Blizzard, who were both unused substitutes at the weekend, are battling it out for his midfield place. Defender Carl Regan limped out of the victory over the Terriers but has trained fully and will be available. The Pirates will be hoping to take their good league form, which has seen them lose one of their last six games, into the cup competition. But they will be wanting to avoid a repeat of their performance in this year's Carling Cup which saw them slip to a 6-1 defeat at Oxford.
