Lines relishing new season

Bristol Rovers midfielder Chris Lines is glad to be back in training ahead of the new season. Lines hit 11 goals in an impressive campaign for the Pirates last term and has been the subject of speculation about a move away from the Memorial Stadium. The Bristolian however is looking forward to the hard work of pre-season. Lines told the club's official website : "It's good to be back, and as for the hard work, you know what it's going to be like and we have all worked very hard so far. We all had a training programme to follow during the summer and, looking at everyone now, it's obvious that everyone followed them over the summer. Lines revealed that he does not pay much attention to rumours surrounding his future. He added: "Until anything concrete comes out it's all rumours and at the moment I'm looking forward to the season with Rovers." The Pirates kick off their pre-season campaign as they travel to Twerton Park on Wednesday to face Bath City.
