Peterborough v Bristol Rovers

Bristol Rovers on-loan goalkeeper Mikkel Anderen look set to start following the injury to Luke Daniels.

Rookie goalkeeper Mike Green will be on the bench whilst Byron Anthony is expected to shake off a dead leg.

Peterborough United boss Gary Johnson told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "I know Bristol Rovers very well from my time in Bristol [as City boss], but they seem to be playing a slightly different system this year.

"It's a game where I think we might need to be patient, but we'll be trying to get the early goal.

"Picking the team will be a challenge, but it's a long old season so everyone will get to play and feel they're part of what I'm doing here."

Bristol Rovers manager Paul Trollope told BBC Radio Bristol: "It's a great test for us, first game of the season and we're going to try to start the season off with a bang.

"They'll be keen to bounce back and the fact that they've kept their star forward players will stand them in good stead.

"We were in the top 10 all of last season until the final weekend, and we want to be up and around that again."
