Pirates ban vuvuzela

Bristol Rovers are the latest club to ban vuvuzelas from their Memorial Stadium ground. Ipswich, Cardiff, Leicester and Southampton have also outlawed the controversial horns which droned throughout this summer's World Cup in South Africa. A Rovers statement read: "After a number of enquiries Rovers can confirm they will not be allowing them into the ground next season. "The horns have been criticised by many people for interfering with play and irritating fellow supporters, and in the interest of spectator enjoyment our health and stadium team have taken the decision to ban them."
