Ian Atkins moved into the transfer market yesterday and secured the services of Bolton youngster Ricky Shakes.
Atkins describes Shakes as versitaile and able to play anywhere along the back four and up front.
Shakes will offer cover for John Anderson, Christian Edwards and Steve Elliott who have been suffering with the flu.
The club have been short of defensive cover since the departure of Liam Burns before Christmas.
