Ian Atkins faces an injury crisis as Bristol Rovers head into the Christmas period.

Craig Disley sustained a groin strain in the 0-0 draw with Rochdale, and Aaron Lescott was lucky not to have broken his leg after a tackle from former Rovers player Paul Tait.

In addition Robbie Ryan, John Anderson, Ali Gibb, Lewis Haldane, Richard Walker and Stuart Campbell have all been suffering in recent weeks with fitness problems, and Ian Atkins is concerned that setbacks to their recoveries could leave him down to the bare bones.

Youngsters Martin Horsell and Chris Lines have also been struggling and with Ryan Clarke and Ryan Williams out on loan, Atkins has been forced to bring in former Notts Forest winger Brian Cash on a non-contract basis and promote 15-year old striker Scott Sinclair from the youth team.
