Rovers sweating on Trollope

Bristol Rovers boss Paul Trollope is hoping John Akinde will be fit for the trip to Oldham. Akinde signed on loan from neighbours Bristol City last week but was ruled out of the 4-0 defeat at the hands of Southampton with a hip flexor problem. Striker Darryl Duffy made his last appearance for Rovers before joining Hibernian on loan until the end of the season in the Southampton match. Goalkeeper Mikkel Andersen will continue between the posts for Rovers after he extended his current loan deal from Reading until January. The Pirates have not won on the road since March and midfielder Chris Lines believes they will have to be on their mettle to turn this run around against an in-form Oldham side. He told the Evening Post: "Oldham have made a good start and won a few games already, so it's going to be a tough game and we are going to have to perform."
