Stansfield remembered

Exeter and Bristol Rovers shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw on a day the Grecians paid tribute to striker Adam Stansfield, who died from cancer last week. After a touching pre-game tribute for Stansfield, Exeter went in front when Steve Tully's excellent cross was headed home by Daniel Nardiello after nine minutes. However, Exeter were made to rue a glorious chance missed by Scott Golbourne as Rovers equalised on the stroke of half-time. City failed to deal with Stuart Campbell's cross and Jo Kuffour was allowed to turn and hook the ball into the corner. Exeter were reduced to 10 men shortly after half-time when Richard Duffy saw red for bringing down Will Hoskins and Hoskins then scrambled the ball home from close range to give Rovers the lead as Exeter again failed to deal with a cross into their box after 54 minutes. However, Exeter came back strong and levelled things up when John O'Flynn notched his first goal for the club from the penalty spot after a foul on James Dunne with 15 minutes remaining.
