Hibernian have agreed a deal with Bristol Rovers to sign former Scotland Under-21 striker Darryl Duffy on loan until the end of the season.He will train with the Easter Road club from Monday while registration and international clearance is confirmed.
Duffy, 26, told Hibs' website: "I am delighted to be joining Hibernian and can't wait to start training.
"I'm just very excited to be back in Scotland and am looking forward to playing in the SPL again."
The forward began his career at Rangers and had a spell at Brechin on loan before moving to Falkirk. After signing for Hull in January 2006, he went on loan to Hartlepool United before joining Swansea in the summer of 2007.
A switch to Bristol Rovers followed 12 months later, but he was once more loaned, most recently to Carlisle in February this year.

Duffy said: "I obviously know just how big a club Hibernian is, and have been really impressed with the training centre and the completed stadium.
"I know the gaffer well, and the style he wants to play."
That "gaffer", John Hughes, is likely to lose Anthony Stokes to Celtic, despite his insistence after Sunday's defeat by St Mirren that that move was not a certainty.
"I know Darryl very well and he's everything you want at your football club," said the Hibs manager.
"He is experienced, but I also think he's still got his best years ahead of him, and will give us more options up front.
"He loves getting in behind defenders and has scored goals wherever he has played.
"He's a great addition to the squad and I'm delighted he'll be here at Hibernian helping us push on this season."

The loan move takes Duffy to the end of his contract and is one that suits Bristol Rovers, where he scored 16 goals in 66 league appearances, 33 of which were as a substitute.
"It's his home up there, and he's being reunited with a manager he knows well from his time at Falkirk, so it gives him a fresh start," said Rovers manager Paul Trollope on the club's website.
"Obviously he's been frustrated with the lack of first-team starts here, and the fact that we have now brought John Akinde into the squad could well have meant that he was pushed further down the pecking order."
