Team News vs Grimsby

Last updated : 04 February 2005 By Chris Barnes
Goalkeeper Kevin Miller will attempt to reclaim his spot in goal for the match against Grimsby at the Memorial Ground on Saturday. Miller has spent five weeks out injured and may replace Ryan Clarke.

Christian Edwards could also return allowing Atkins to consider a 3-5-2 formation with Anderson, Elliott and Edwards across the back.

If 4-4-2 is favoured then Ryan and Hinton are likely to continue as full backs, although Aaron Lescott is returning to full fitness. Should wingbacks be implemented Ryan and Gibb are the most likely candidates.

Across midfield Stuart Campbell will be desperate to play against his old club, and the in-form Craig Disley is also likely to start. Dave Savage would be the most likely choice at left wing if 4-4-2 is favoured, although James Hunt or Paul Trollope could be part of a five man midfield.

Lee Thorpe is suspended and the involvement of Junior Agogo could be limited due to off-the-field reasons. Richard Walker is likely to start alongside either Agogo or Jamie Forrester, with the option of Lewis Haldane likely to come from the bench. Transfer-listed winger Ryan Williams completes the match day squad.
