Trollope left to rue late Gills winner

Trollope said: "It looked for all the world as if we had done enough with putting our bodies on the line for 90 minutes to leave with a point, but poor defending right at the death has cost us.

"The experienced players in my dressing room will know that there are times in a season when you come under the cosh, have to dig in, ride your luck out at times and grind out a result.

"We didn't pass the ball well so you have to be organised, solid and resilient and to a large extent we were. It was just a shame we made the mistake of giving Jackson too much room in the final minutes."
