Trollope promises more signings

Bristol Rovers manager Paul Trollope is hoping to bring in more new signings within the next couple of weeks. The only arrivals so far arranged have been ex-Charlton youngster Harry Pell and Fulham's Wayne Brown, who is set to complete his move on Tuesday night.

"Just because there has not been too much movement so far doesn't mean that we're not working tirelessly," Trollope told BBC Radio Bristol.

"If things go to plan, we'll have at least a couple in for pre-season."

Trollope was disappointed when striker Paul Heffernan, who enjoyed a successful loan spell at Rovers last season, opted to sign instead for Sheffield Wednesday.

But he added: "We have a number of targets. Our recruitment list is as comprehensive as it has ever been.

"We still have spaces to fill in forward positions, at left back, centre half and goalkeeper."

"We're looking at, on the whole, bringing in younger players, who hopefully we can develop and mould.
