Trollope- We deserved it

Bristol Rovers boss Paul Trollope insisted his side deserved to win after they beat Aldershot 1-0 in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. Will Hoskins scored the only goal in the 90th minute volleying in substitute Charlie Reece's cross as the Shots were left to rue a missed penalty from Luke Guttridge in the 62nd minute. Trollope said: "But for their goalkeeper we would have won comfortably. With the amount of pressure we had and the number of chances we created, I believe we were worthy winners. "Mikkel Andersen has done his job saving the penalty. We knew Aldershot would be dangerous on the break and that's how they earned the spot-kick, though whether it was justified I'm not sure. "Putting on Charlie Reece gave us extra width and he set up the winning goal, so that worked out well for us. "I was able to play a strong team because our next match at Swindon is not until Monday. That worked out nicely for us and we now have a good amount of time to prepare for an important local derby."
