Tunnicliffe joins Rovers

Bristol Rovers have bolstered their squad by completing the signing of James Tunnicliffe from Brighton on a season-long loan deal. The 21-year-old central defender is only one season into a three-year deal with the Seagulls, but he is not part of Gus Poyet's plans and spent time on loan at MK Dons last season. Boss Paul Trollope told the club's official website: "We feel James is an excellent addition to the squad. He is a highly-rated young defender. "We were delighted to secure his signature, beating off some strong competition from a number of good clubs. "James is a young player with the potential to develop and grow. He has the right attributes and quality that we are looking for to progress."
