"To be honest, I've had a few offers, but the good thing about Bristol Rovers was that they contacted me early on and got me down here, and I saw the set-up and met the manager," said the player.

Meanwhile the Pirates are also being linked with a move for Crewe Alexandra's forward Paul Tait.

The 28-year-old has already held talks with Scunthorpe United, but Iron manager Brian Laws is beieved to have dropped his interest in the player.
